On Tuesday 28th April, the Lakeside Secondary College Council voted in favour of Model 3b from the consultation paper which proposed that three three schools, Lakeside Secondary College, Ruthven Primary School and Merrilands College be re-organised as one primary P-6 school and one secondary 7-12 school  to be built as separate schools on the one site.
