Senior School Programs

The Senior School Program is organised to introduce students to post-compulsory pathways and the various options presented by the three certified programs: the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) and Vocational Education and Training in Schools (VETiS).

Year 10

Students in Year 10 study a program that is based upon the Victorian Essential Learning Standards (VELS) with four compulsory core subjects that run the full year and six elective subjects that each run for a semester. Students in year 10 participate in a Pathways program run by a Managed Individual Pathways (MIPS) tutor who assists the student to develop a MIPS plan and guides them through each year of the three years of their senior program.

Years 11 and 12

Students in Year 11 and 12 are enrolled in either the VCE or VCAL program. At Year 11 the VCE course includes six subjects each with five periods per week. At Year 12 the VCE course includes five subjects each with five periods per week. Students enrolling in the VCAL program enrol into Foundation English, Foundation Maths, Work Related Skills and Personal Development. VCAL students also undertake a Work Placement and are encouraged to enrol into a VET subject.
