3 Schools, 1 Community
In 2008, the school councils of Lakeside Secondary College, Merrilands College and Ruthven Primary school agreed to share resources to provide an expanded range of programs for students in the Ruthven/Reservoir area.
In 2009, Years 11 & 12 students from Merrilands College joined senior students at Lakeside Secondary College in a combined VCE/VET/VCAL program which offers considerably more options.
This year, the three school councils have committed to developing models for what outstanding educational provision will look like in this area in 2013 and beyond. The models will be examined by each school community with view to developing a submission for facilities funding.
Each school council is committed to serving the educational needs of young people in our one shared community.
