Junior School Progam

In Years 7 to 9 students at Lakeside Secondary College study in the Junior School program which focuses on building a strong foundation in literacy and numeracy skills and developing students into confident and independent learners. The curriculum is based on the Victorian Essential Learning Standards (VELS) and comprises the three strands of disciplinary, interdisciplinary and physical, personal and social learning. Students in Years 7 and 8 study a core of year long subjects and two semester long Arts & Technology subjects. Students at Year 9 study a core of year long subjects and choose two semester long Arts & Technology subjects.
