Enhancement and Enrichment

Lakeside Secondary College offers a range of opportunities to enrich and enhance learning beyond the classroom program. The program includes: Plain Speaking, Debating, Schools Chess Competition, Tournament of the Minds, Great Victorian Bike Ride, Instrumental Music lessons and a range of Sport Teams.

High Achievers Program

Students who are highly motivated and have talent in a number of disciplines are invited to apply to join the High Achievers class. The class has an intake of up to 25 students into Year 7 every year. This class continues through to Year 10. Applications for High Achievers classes in Years 8-10 are welcome and will depend upon availability of places and the application process.

Students in the High Achievers class follow a curriculum that allows learning to extend beyond levels expected for their age range. Students in the High Achiever’s Program are expected to apply themselves consistently and to participate in a range of Enhancement activities each year.
